Sweet Lie – Arthura gallery

The exhibition “Sweet Lie” flooded our complex relationship with suger, sweetness and looked with a scrutinizing eye on the food industry and on ourselves.
About my artworks: “Nice to Eat You” the (edible) chocolate bunnies threatening with a drawn gun are another proof of sugar being a way of seduction and a trap, from flirting with the viewers to the realization that this is a deception – the bunnies stand full of confidence and emphasize the contrast between the chocolate and the the health threat of its increased consumption.
The artwork “Stop” is placed at the entrance to the exhibition and conveys that life is full of dilemmas alongside the desire to gain control. Is it right to stop or let go, is it good or bad, is life only black or white? probably not. As in life, so with sugar, it’s a matter of dosage.
